TEMU a challenge The unsavory truth about Temu, the most popular shopping app in the UK, which offers unbelievable savings and offers electric massagers for 2.36 GBP

Do you want an eyeliner for only 57p? For just £1.98, how about a kids' dinosaur backpack?

For as low as £2.99, you could even have a lovely pair of flats delivered to your door.

Temu (pronounced tee-moo), the UK's most popular app this year, provides exactly that. It seems too wonderful to be true.

The ultra-cheap company makes the claim that clients can "shop like a billionaire" with its absurdly low prices, "lightning" deals, and 90% discounts.

However, a growing sense of disquiet may be found hidden beneath Temu's absurdly low prices and dizzying selection of goods.

Negative reviews, complaints about undeliverable packages, subpar customer support, and, most worrisome of all, a "extremely high risk" of forced labor have plagued the website.

Now, some detractors are speculating as to whether Temu, which stands for "Team Up, Price Down," might actually be poisonous.

Temu is marketed as an online marketplace that connects customers with millions of merchants and brands with "the mission to empower them to live their best lives." Temu was established in September 2022 by Chinese e-commerce powerhouse PDD Holdings, which also controls online store Pinduoduo.
